Some additional details regarding the program….
ALL summer CREDIT RECOVERY courses will be Hybrid courses.
What does this mean, you ask?
This means students will be on campus part time and part time virtually at home. Depending on the coursework you are enrolled in, you will either be in the morning session or an afternoon session. The session times are listed above. When you are not in session, you will be expected to complete some items virtually to achieve a mastery standard. This process will allow students to work through their credits at a more individualized pace.
Another change from last year...
Students will be REQUIRED to attend 3 HOURS per day for 2 full weeks to obtain ½ a credit of credit recovery.
Therefore, a student will be able to receive up to 1 FULL CREDIT of credit recovery during the summer session. If a student completes 1 full credit in the month of June and desires to complete an additional ½ credit, we will open up a 2 week virtual session during the first 2 weeks in July. HOWEVER, this option is only available on a case by case basis and a student must meet the above criteria.
We hope that opening up the options for enrollment to allow students some flexibility in scheduling will enable more students to be enrolled and complete the credits they need to stay on track for graduation.
ALL summer ELECTIVE COURSES offered by Marshfield will also be hybrid, however you must attend half days for the full 2 or 4 week session to complete the credits unless otherwise noted. LAUNCH classes or other courses listed as virtual will be separate and engaged in virtually as they have been in the past. Remember, if there is a LAUNCH course you wish to enroll in outside of those listed in the form, you will need to have approval from a counselor or myself to do so.
