Tornado Safe Rooms
Tornado Safe Room Information
We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our Marshfield community. Because of their investment and partnership, we've been able to provide safe rooms for ALL of our students and staff to take shelter during severe weather. The commitment of our community has provided protection, peace of mind, and a safer learning environment for all.
💙 Thank you, Marshfield!
FEMA Safe Room – Marshfield R-I School District
The Marshfield R-I School District owns and maintains a FEMA-certified Tornado Safe Room designed to protect students and staff during tornadoes or extreme high wind events occurring during school hours.
Public Access During Tornado Warnings
In the event of a tornado warning, the safe room will also be opened to the public. Notification that the safe room is open will be made via NOAA weather radio, which serves as the district’s official communication channel for emergencies. Once a tornado warning is issued, members of the public may enter the safe room.
