Early Learning Center 25-26
At the Marshfield R-I Early Learning Center , they know that sometimes the best lessons happen when you slow down to smell the roses or watch the snow fall. Little moments. Big learning.

Families recently gathered for the “Get the Wiggles Out 2026” Parent Engagement Night, an event designed to encourage movement, connection, and family involvement. Parents and students spent the evening participating in activities together while building relationships and supporting student growth beyond the classroom.

Our amazing Mrs. Rox spent her winter break creating these adorable characters from The Mitten for our littlest Blue Jays at the Early Learning Center! She truly pours her heart into everything she does, and it shows in every thoughtful detail.

Our ELC students wrapped up the holiday season with smiles, creativity, and a whole lot of festive fun! From crafting adorable Santa faces to sharing laughs with classmates, these little moments made the season extra special. We love seeing our youngest learners celebrating together and creating memories that make this time of year so magical.

Ms. Melanie and Ms. Tina enjoyed spending time with our ELC families on Saturday, December 6, at the Webster County Library! They hosted a gingerbread-themed morning filled with a read-aloud, a fun craft, and plenty of time exploring books. It’s wonderful to see so many families signing up for library cards and building a love of reading together!

The ELC Winter Wonderland did not disappoint! We love watching our families make memories together.

New Pet Center at the ELC is a hit!

Happy 252nd Birthday, Johnny Appleseed!
What better way to celebrate the man who made apples famous in America than with a slice of classic apple pie?
Our students took time today to remember Johnny Appleseed’s legacy of kindness, simplicity, and planting seeds for future generations. Just like Johnny, we’re reminded that small acts—whether planting an apple tree or showing kindness to others—can leave a lasting impact.
Here’s to learning, growing, and of course… enjoying a little apple pie along the way!

Nothing beats starting the day with some Blue Jay spirit! Our littlest learners got high fives and big smiles from the high school football players as they headed to class. What an awesome way to celebrate teamwork, community, and Blue Jay pride—across every grade!

Apple Tasting at the ELC!
Our students had an a-peeling time sampling different apples. With lots of thumbs up, it’s safe to say apple tasting was awesome fun!

Fun at ELC Grandparents Night!
Grandparents Night was a hit! Families enjoyed time together, and the annual pumpkin carving contest brought out some spook-tacular creativity. Each class showed off amazing jack-o’-lanterns that lit up the night with Blue Jay pride!

Marble Masterpieces in the Making!
Our ELC students are discovering that art and science go hand-in-hand. With marbles, paint, and a little shake of the box, they’re creating colorful patterns that are as unique as they are. It’s messy, it’s fun, and it’s learning in motion!

Learning in Action at the Early Learning Center!
Our youngest Blue Jays are busy building early literacy skills. From tracing letters to exploring sounds, every activity is a step toward a lifelong love of learning!

At the Early Learning Center, there’s a whole world waiting to be discovered—just ask our preschoolers! From leaves to pine cones, every little detail becomes an adventure when seen through the “magic lens” of a magnifying glass.
